I thought I have experienced this before but now I'm sure, it is not possible to lock/unlock the car by remote while charger is plugged in. Can anyone confirm this is not only my car ? Anyone knows why ? Is it the very large cloud of interferrence that almost makes it impossible to listen to radio while driving that also includes the 350MHz band while charging ?

I think the remote works on 433MHz.
The problem with radio reception may be due to bad connection between the antenna and the ground plane in the front part of the roof. There was a forum thread about how to fix it, but involved removing some inner linings.
Does the locking work if you are very near the car? Do you have second key? Is the second key working? Maybe the battery in the remote needs changing?

Maybee it is 433, the frequency was not the point.
All electric cars I have driven or owned have had issues due to radiated emmissions. Even new cars developed at a large car manufacturer, where I happen to work, have these issues.
At Elbilwiki they blame the "weak" antenna  ;)
It does not help there is no (?) groundplane for the antenna and the radiation has no shielding at all from the plastic body. I'm thinking of relocating the antenna to the rear of the roof and introducing a metallic film under the roof to shield emissions.

I have two keys with the same issue. At least one I changed the battery in as I bought the car.

Do you have the same range of opening charging or not ?

I shall test my range when the car is back in the game again.

If the frequency was not the point you shouldn't have written it ;-)

There should be ground plane. It is a metal plate under the front part of the roof.

I have not noticed any difference in remote operation depending on if the car is charging or not, I will try to check next time I am around.

Point taken.

I'm not sure  I want to remove the headlining to check for a groundplane and correctly mounted antenna. Will probably do it if/when I decide to move the antenna to the rear.
Distance is an important factor to remove interferrence and all transmitters are in the front.

First thing to check is the fob-battery. One one of my keys I have to push the buttons hard or even several times before it works.
Unlock/lock is possible during charging.

I guess Håkon it is continous, the trouble with the buttons and does not vary with charging or not as mine does.
Btw the battery is new.

Tried the lock unlock after moving the car.
When not charging I can open/lock at at least 5 m.After plugging in the charge plug I can not do anything, not even if I hold the remote against the drivers window. No reaction from the car.

No difference in locking/unlocking range with or without charger connected for my car. Range is >10m.
Radio reception varies a lot, from normal to very bad, even if I drive the same route every day. My car has a sun-roof. Maybe the ground plane is smaller because of that?

I believe this is "as designed". Remote lock/unlock always fail during charging, even if I stand next to the car. Without charging, I can lock/unlock from over 20m away.

The rationale is probably to remind drivers to disconnect the cable before getting into the car. That way, the "easily distracted" won't accidentally try to drive with the cable connected. The car also refuses to "start" when plugged in, but it is possible to put it in neutral and roll downhill anyway.

Personally, I would prefer a car where lock/unlock always works, but it beeps instead if you turn the key while plugged in. Nobody rolls a car without the key anyway, due to the steering wheel lock.

Hvilke VIN-serie skal det gjelde for?
Jeg har 2009 gen1-pcu bil (altså  J005x) og her fungerer låsing fint mens lading stå tilkoblet.
Hadde du en pre-serie 2008-model med VIN J004x?
