Hi Guys
Writing in english to minimize confusion in translation from swedish.  ;)

I am a fairly experienced electric car pilot having owned a Kewet, a Renault Express and now a Think -99. Have logged around 70.000km over the past 8 years or so.
There are currently a couple of Think II in the Swedish market that might not be too expensive. They all seem to have Zebra batteries judging from the "B" in the VIN.
What should I look out for regarding the electric bits ?
How about chargers for instance  ? They are notoriously troublesome in both Renault and Think I.
Anything to look out for regardíng the batterY ? I dont think I even have seen a picture of a Zebra battery.

Any comments are appretiated !

Bare for kuriositeten? Hva er prisene på disse bilene i Sverige nå? Er de virkelig billigere enn i Norge?

Thanks Electrolux
I think we have talked before at the old Think forum.

So are there any known childrens deseases with the Zebras, and when where they solved ?
According to ElbilWiki and the VIN of the cars the where all produced in Norway with Zebra batteries at the very end of the series described as: "Gen0/1 PCU med gen1 motor produsert i Norge (VIN J004001 - J005198) ".
I was a bit surprised of the lack of documentation avaliable for Think Gen 1 but it seems to be even worse on Gen 2. Is this really the case or am I bad at looking/finding ?

I read at the wiki that if the car was supposed to stand for 3-4 weeks its best to let the battery freeze. I suppose that means to let it get cold. How long time does it take to wake it up after such a sleep and can it wake up on its own power ? What if the car is let to stand untill the battery is empty and it freezes, what is required to wake it up ?
Do you need any special diagnostics tools to reset alarms and such ?

I suppose that the batteries requires no regular service like the old NiCad ?

As far I know - I have no hands on experience in frozen Zebras - all you need to do is install a good 12V AGM battery (installs from under the left front fender) and thaw/charge for 30 hours or so.

My brother, POSI411, owns a 2008 model with gen1 PCU and it works good. Only problem on his Th!nk so far is that he had to replace the water heater this fall. See http://elbilforum.no/forum/index.php/topic,3773.0.html

I would love that these cars remains in daily use in Sweden.

Unless the car has been left in the contact for a longer period without driving and the BMI needs to be reflashed... and then you need a PIN code from the manufacturer... which in its turn can be a project in itself...

Time will tell.

Don't know - I read about that bug here in the forum (or was it the wiki page) and if I remember correctly there was no specific time value given. Can't find a good reference.
