Hello all.

I bought an OBD II Interface for PC. Tried to communicate with the Think Gen2.
The Software works, connects to the car, but they cannot "talk". The OBD Scanner gets no replies. Tried all protocols and speeds.

Problemet er vel ikke selve OBD-lesern vil jeg tro, men snarere programvaren. Jeg har prøvd det samme med en ElmScan II, no luck. Hvilken software bruker han?

Evt. kan man prøve en som "garantert" fungerer for Ford, enkelte av hjernene i bilen er jo fra Ford så det burde jo teoretisk fungere.

Til sist kan det nevnes at det selges mange jalla/kina-obdlesere, disse fungerer ofte ikke.

Mest interessante svaret er:
Today I have some news for the diagnosis of the new Think.
For the new 2008 Think there are 3 known ways to diag.

1. with a Think OBD connector (maybe its standard, to be figured out) and a
software called THINK TECHCENTER (where to get???!)

2. The software ZEBRA MONITOR V2.6.exe and a special connector Amphenol at the
Zebra Batteries BMI. You can read out Battery Data.

3. A Software called CHAS which is not very user firendly and experimental due
to its very many parameters, plus a special Siemens SIADIS plug on the Zebras
BMI. There you can read out current, temperatures, voltages and many more.

But the possiblility of servicing a THINK 2008 in a germany Bosch car service
Station with their hardware makes me think that is is more or less a standard
protocol.

Hello Folks.

Yesterday on the monthly meeting of my e-car club, a friend from the netherlands (PlugInPrius driver/buider) brought a Bosch KTS Service computer from his workshop.
And really the Think communicates with it. Diagnostic, error readings, parameters all works.

So the service can be done by Bosch Service Stations.

Could you check out which KTS system he uses? I've found lots on eBay, many different types.

I would definatley be interested in buying one.

Did you ever find a good way for faster charging. I'm still considering how to collect my new Thinks in Europe, and one option would be to simply drive them home. If there is a quick way to hook up a 0-800V 0-50A support charger from our commen friend Gero, I could get home a lot quicker.

This could be controlled by the cars own original charger, simply by measuring its current pull.

Hello.

I am still waiting for a reply from the Bosch-Friend.
But an internet search gave that the Bosch Software ESITRONIC Version 3/2011 or younger is needed for the Think2. There are different versions for the different Bosch KTS hardware modules and it could be that the software has to be registered by Bosch before use is possible.
(I don´t know exactly but read it for one software version)
@Robort: haven´t yet done the research of the fast(er) charging for the Think2

I have an Info: It was a Bosch KTS 550 and the Software has to be Esitronic after 3/2011.
The Bosch can do all, but if you can live with a bit simpler solution I recommend to wait...
Today we sniffed a lot of Hex ... Don´t ask, Niko or I will tell you
