Sv: SOC-meter for Android

I have read some threads here but most seem to be about soundproofing either the road noise or to gain more heat in the winter.
Did anyone consider or try to soundproof the chopper for the engine ? At least I think it is this unit giving a loud high pitched noise somewhat in correlation to the gaspedal.
I find this noise to be highly disturbing and would really like to reduce it a bit. I realize though that wrapping the unit in soundproofing material will likely create a heat problem.....
So, has anyone given this any thought ?

I would invest the money in better speakers.

Thats of course one way to go but if you actually want to speak to your passenger, not so good.
