I ordered a new remote control DA600626 from BRC here in Malmö in October.
Every time I call them it is a new expected delivery date within the next week.
I have grown tired of this and am wondering where to buy defa remote control (the one with the slider) in Norway?

Elmo: they have this one in the BRC store in Malmö, but I have managed to convince myself that I need the variant with the sliding selector... now when I think about it I am not sure why.
El rayo: I have been following the GSM switch thread and it is very interesting... maybe next time.
I found a remote with the slider in MECA in Trondheim, but it is almost 500 swedish kr, and then is shipping...

Cars that have the original Defa 823 alarm installed came with the slider. The slider is used to select additional functions. Th!nk use only one function: remote trunk opener. The slider should be in the centre position.

From Defa's home page http://aus.defa.com/en/aus_800.html : "The remote control can be supplied in two versions, with and without a sliding switch:

1:1 Without sliding switch: For controlling alarms and central locking

3:1 With sliding switch: An extended version for controlling 3 extra comfort functions or for controlling alarms for three different vehicles.

The remote control has a range of between around 10-30 m (depending on radio interference in the area)."

Ok, so if I understand this correctly, the only thing that I am losing with remote that has no slider is the function to open the trunk...
I am using this "trunk open" function from time to time... not often, and can learn to live without it.
