Hello.

As we are working deeper into Think A306 tech, we have had some defective cars in our shop the last weeks (e.g.defective charger, SOC reset, Iso fault in the heater, EPO circuit fault...)

Today we had a red Think from 2010/11 Gen2 with EPO circuit fault which had a very strange VIN Number. It doesn't match to the know scheme (YYCFT....)

VIN Number was: WEVAD3M...

See pictures. The manufacturer is a german GmbH. The owner thinks they build a few cars after production stopped from spare parts.

Interesting, isn't it ?

P.S: we now can do SOC resets, Zebra Monitor, Think Tech Center and "the holy grail" CHAS

I think "EMA Think" was the company that bought all the assets from the bankruptcy. So maybe they have built some cars...
Is this a 4 seater with Lithium battery?

The bankrupt Think was bought by Electric Mobility Solutions AG (EMA) headquartered in Munich. Owner of EMA is Boris Zingarevich (russian). Or may be was. I do not think EMA is still in operation.

In the spring of 2011 a handful of cars were assembled from leftover parts at The Valmet plant in Finland. These got the WEVAD serial numbers. The one in your photo is evidently the first in this series. Personally I have WEVAD3MC3CU9004.

We have not been able to find out how many WEVAD cars were produced, but I would guess less than ten. I think most of them were sold in Norway.

I was one of the authors of the book "Elbil på norsk" which contains an extensive history of the Think company and an appendix listing the production and serial numbers used. This book was released a year ago and is mainly about the history of electric cars in Norway.
