Not only can't you lock/unlock the car while charging, this morning I noticed another strange thing.
I stopped at work at one charge station and plugged the charger in at the 230V side. When I plugged the Think in it started to flash with the indicator lights !?
"Now what ?" I thought and unplugged it. The flashing stopped.
I re-plugged it and the flashing started again. I then noticed it was only the left side flashing so I unplugged again (to be able to unlock it) and soon found the indicator stalk was in the left position. I flipped it to neutral, locked the dorre and plugged it again. No flashing.

Interresting feature but I wonder why ?

The turn-signal is controlled by the General Electric Module. It seems like the GEM in your your pre-production vehicle somehow has different settings, perhaps a different flash/fw?
I have no idea how to flash the GEM, but maybe some information can be found at a Ford-forum?

I have a Mondeo GEM(with additional features), as well as the standard Focus GEM, if you need to try.

The unavalibility of central locking when charging is the same on all the pre-production vehicles.

This is obviously not a problem just a "feature" you have to live with. If you had lived next door to me it would have been interresting to try but since you don't..... thanks but no thanks.

Thanks also to hma for your suggestion but as said it's really not a problem to be bothered with. I was just baffled by the cars behavior the other morning.

As go-carter said: no wireless door locks while plugged on my EX-Ambulance 2008 1PP-2 prototype series Think.

But interesting: Modeo and Focus GEM is interchangable on the Thinks?

I havent dared to try yet. But it is a common upgrade on Focuses. Mondeo GEM features three-blink indicators, alarm, etc. They look exactly the same, just different software.
