Dear elbiforum users!

My name is Arnis Rubins and I represent a company "VA Latvia" Ltd.
We are based in Riga, Latvia and currently we are selling electric vehicles including THINK City.

One of our possible customers is potentially worried about winter mileage of the "New" THINK City.

Temperatures here in Riga drop down to -20 to -25 in winter, but normally during winter it is around 0 to -10.
I guess it might be even worse in Norway!
I have gone through the whole of "New" Think City forum themes but did not find sufficient amount of information regarding winter range. Therefore I decided to make a new theme.

Must note that vehicles we have are with Lithium battery pack, therefore ZEBRA battery owner coments would not be relevant here!

Could you please post your experience with winter mileage?

Please state:
approximate temperature
road conditions
road type (highway/city)
speed limits
heater usage (no / average / max)
fan usage (0 / 1 / 2...)
km driven between recharging
% of battery left before recharge.

Any other relevant comments are welcome.

Hi, Arnis, welcome to Elbilforum!

Most of the new (2008-2012) Th!nk cars in Norway are fitted with Zebra battery, which is always kept at the optimal temperature of about 300 degrees C.

Th!nk cars sold in the USA are fitted with EnerDel lithium battery pack. You may have better luck getting a response at  http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/think_ev/

Only one owner, Jim, who has a Th!nk with increased power program has noted reduced power in the morning when night temperture is below 10 degrees C.

In the "Files" section of the yahoo forum you can find a curve diagram for capacity versus temperature, I think.
