I think I have read somewhere that someone installed a gasoline heater instead of the standard elektric. I had that setup, as standard, in my old Renault Express and it worked great.
Is there somewhere a build thread with pictures describing this ?
Anything in particular to think about ? Or is it just a straight change between electric to gas ? I assume the water temperature coming out of any of the heaters will be about the same, around 80-90°.

There are several new-Thinks which have Webasto/Eberspächer running on gasoline/diesel.

My Think has a hybrid heater system, with one Webasto-gasoline in addition to the original electric fluidheater, capable of independent usage. Works well and makes the Think run a minimum of 150km per charge, 365 days a year :)

How come you kept the original heater ?
Because it works well, it's cleaner and it causes less wear and tear from ad-hoc usage.
The range is not a problem in my daily usage. I need the maximum range during winter only a few times a month, that is when I fire up the fuel.

Thanks Elbilmek

That looks like a neat installation.
I'm not a facebooker myself but I could see the front picture of the Think with open bonnet. I could also go back to the album but could not see any aditional pictures of this installation. Are there any ?
