This vehicle is a great way for a 16 year old to drive safe and dry to school and work. My daughter is soon 16 and playing ishockey, and with this car she could take all her gear and drive to training.

There is actually a few of theese in Norway, and in fact they are allowed to drive for 16 year old with A1 licence.

For years 16 year old have been banned from driving the socalled moped cars witch must be considered a lot safer than sliding around on 2 wheep mopeds. With 3 wheels and max 15 hp the 16 year old can finally again drive something with a heater and a roof.

Uansett en fordel å ta A1, da prisforskjellen mellom dette og M er liten, samtidig som A1 gir betydelig økte muligheter for fører.

F.eks kan en få KTM ( og BMW C1 ) lett vektere med ABS bremser. Et gigantisk steg i riktig retning sikkerhetsmessig.

It looks like Daewoo Matiz, but under body panels there is nothing common. This is light electric vehicle, that is designed for modest speed 65-70 km/h and due to three-wheel structure it has to have different under body. Some parts for exampel brake discs, brake calibers, brake pads and partly drive shafts are same that have been used previously in cars such as Suzuki Alto and Honda Civic.

Joda, en brukt trilling er sannsynligvis et bedre kjøp, men den kan ikke kjøres av 16 åringer.
Så langt jeg kan se er dette eneste bilen med en brukbar toppfart en 16 åring kan kjøre.

You both are right. If you are going to buy an electric car, this vehicle can not compete with normal size cars.
But if you are a 16 years old with A1 driving-licence and want to drive an enclosed vehicle year around; your choises are very limited.
In my opinion the nearest competitor for eeVee is a bigger version of Piaggio Ape (vehicle class L5e) and it is up to you which one you like.

I found something funny in driving licence regulations: you are allowed to drive 200 cc Ape (L5e class) but not 50 cc Ape (L2e class) with A1 driving licence .

The roules are strange indeed.

The much safer 45 km/hr and 80 km/hr Twizy is also not allowed for 16 year old, just because it has one wheel too much.

My Cree SAM that will top 120 km/hr, is allowed for 16 year old because it has 3 wheels and 15 kW motor.

I think roules are like this so the son of the slaughter can transport a dead pig to the nearest restaurant on the company Piaggio 3 wheeler. We masy see regulations coming demanding space in the back for such a dead pig to avoid 16 year old from driving safe and dry to school and work.

If you are looking for an electric vehicle that is rival for eeVee in same price category, I would say that
City El is something you can compare to. It has about same top speed, simple structure and easy to maintain.
Also eeVee´s battery box design give you great possibility to make battery conversion when the time comes (there is lots of room for LiFePo-batteries and thermal insulation).
