I am having trouble with the charging door - it is not aligned, and it does not close as tight as I suspect it should. Thus the small mark on the door.
Any idea how to adjust this and make the closing tight?

On my 2009 model the charging inlet door is perfectly aligned, but I have not taken the hinge for a close inspection, so it's hard to tell exactly how one can do adjustments.
Maybe someone have disassembled the fender / charging inlet door?

I took a brief look at my inlet door, and it may look like the door is someway glued to the hinge. Maybe the positioning between your inlet door and hinge is incorrect?
From your picture it looks like the horisontal position (left - right) is OK, while the vertical position (up - down) is not OK. The right side of the door is too low, also according to the chassis design line on the driver  door (or maybe due to the camera angle of the photo?).

I cannot find any picture describing this very well, but I guess that either the hinge is bolted to the chassis, or the hinge is a part of the fender assey.
If the hinge is bolted, maybe it can be adjusted, otherwise I think you have to try to loosen the charging inlet door from the hinge and glue it on.
The panel of your driver door may also be incorrect aligned(?).

If I remember correctly, the hinge assy is bolted to the fender. Charger door is bolted(or rather screwed, with torx) to the hinge as well. Plenty of areas to adjust :)

I was installing a j1772 inlet in the car and took a second look at the alignment problem....
It turned out that this was not an alignment problem, but a quality of assembly problem... the magnets in the door and the panel were oriented with their poles so they were pushing away from eachother instead of attracting...
So once the magnets were oriented the correct way the door was perfectly aligned.

What I did was I removed the rubber cup from the body panel and then extracted the magnet from the back, turned it around to reverse the poles, and put it back in.

15 minutes job....
Hope this helps.

Hmm, magnet lock? I don't belive we have that on our car. Is this homemade? (pics/parts list?)

Make a photo of your charging door and I will edit it to point you to the magnet...

All cars have magnet locks on the charge door from the factory.
